Driver Requirements and Insurance Criteria
Driver Requirements
Hireacampervannow (“we”) require certain paperwork to ensure insurance cover is provided for each driver.
- All drivers must be present during handover. No other drivers then named on the booking form are permitted to drive our campervan.
- We require a valid driving licence for each driver which shows current and full address. We will take a copy of the driving licence for our records and insurance purposes.
- We also require two current bills for each driver which are dated no longer than three months from the return date as stated in the Booking Form. The name and address on the bills must match the details of the driver’s driving licence of the driver.
- We also require details of all drivers ‘check code’ which is available via the DVLA website.
Insurance Criteria
We provide cover for two drivers as standard and included in the price you pay however any and all final decisions regarding insurance are always made by our insurance company. If you want to hire our Campervans but do not meet the criteria, do not hesitate to give us a call.
- Aged between 25 and 75 years old
- UK or EU Full Driving Licence
- Licence held for a minimum of 2 years
- Licence has not been suspended for any period within the last 3 years
- No more than 1 claim in the previous 3 years
- Maximum of 2 minor offences with a maximum of 3 points for each
- Insurance has never been declined, refused or cancelled
- Whilst you’re hiring the campervan we also recommend you take out travel insurance for your trip
These Driver Requirements and Insurance criteria are subject to our terms and conditions and please note that any failure to comply with and or adhere to these requirements and criteria may invalidate your booking and your deposit and booking fee may not be returned to you in part or in full.
